Small Business Loans Available for Local Entrepreneurs. Metropolitan partners with Rural Center. Go to story>>
The
Business Development Center is designed to help rural people become self-sufficient
by providing the opportunity for self-employment and small business growth.
It provides loans for the start-up or expansion of small businesses by individuals
who have sound ideas but do not qualify for bank credit.
In addition to financial backing, the Business Development Center also assists entrepreneurs by providing computer access and technical assistance. Business training, credit restoration, and consulting are also important benefits that participants in the business development center enjoy.
We have assisted in the development of over 40 new businesses and the creation of more than 100 new jobs.
The Center will hold classes in Spanish as needed.
Metropolitan Business Development Center has started a "Start-Up Loan-Seed Pool" as of March 2003. We are seeking partners willing to help Metropolitan grow with the success of our energetic and talented clients.
To enroll in the business development program, you must:
We also ask that you attend a minimum of six classes to get certified for the lending process. After your six classes, we will assist in helping the business get started.
The Center, on several occasions, has teamed up with other parties having a vested interest in the economic opportunities provided by a proposal. Together, we then provide technical assistance and some "seed funds" to help start a business.
To find out more, please fax us an information request at (252) 946-4020.
The Metropolitan Business Development Center would like to thank several organizations for their generosity and support:
